Welcome to Sarah in the Kitchen.  This blog originally began as a baking project in January 2010 but quickly changed direction when I was diagnosed with a non-Celiac gluten intolerance.

Instead of throwing in the towel, I relied on my culinary background to help me work with gluten-free ingredients, read a lot and completed my Massachusetts Food Allergen Certification Training in January 2011.  Growing up working in my grandfather’s restaurant and having some pretty talented family chefs and friends around have helped…a lot!
